Are School Uniforms Changing?
As we continue our relationships with our partnering schools, a key priority between ourselves and our schools is making uniform gender neutral to allow all pupils to feel they have a place in their school communities.
What is the future of school uniform? As we continue our relationships with our partnering schools, a lot of schools are moving towards removing gender from their uniforms. So why has this change occurred in recent years? The Uniform Bill has pushed uniform up schools’ agendas as a way to reduce the barriers between students’ economic backgrounds and demographic.
We are passionate about each student feeling they have a place in their school community. Because of this change, we’ve adapted our website and price lists to be more gender neutral and constantly review our prices in a time of economic crisis. By removing gendered language and expanding our unisex range, we can futureproof uniform while retaining school branding and behavioural standards.
We still have a way to go, but we’re passionate about removing the barriers of gendered clothing. By removing the barriers imposed by gendered clothing, we are able to help every student be their authentic selves in school. In particular, we feel these changes will have a positive impact on LGBTQIA+ students, allowing them to express themselves to their fullest capacity.
